Comparative Analyses of Ombudsmen Functioning in the Region
According to the design of this mini project we had two main goals to achieve:
- To carry out comparative analyses of the work of the institution of ombudsmen in South Eastern Europe. This analysis was the basis of writing a project proposal;
- To create a project proposal for Pax Christi Netherlands which will include experts from Serbia & Montenegro and from the region.
After two months\' work both goals were successfully achieved:
- The research paper was done and it serves as an expert (comparative) analysis on the experiences of the ombudsman inauguration in the region for the purposes of making the project proposal. Together with the research paper a list of contacts with institutions and experts from the countries from the region for the future project implementation and experience sharing was made;
- The project proposal "Lobbying for the Ombudsman Inauguration in Serbia" was created and submitted to Pax Christi Netherlands.
The author of the research paper is Ms. Ruzica Zarevac MA, Belgrade Center for Human Rights
The authors of the project proposal are Slobodan G. Markovic PhD and Lazar Maricevic from Center for Development of Serbia (CDS).
