Overcoming Obstacles on a Way to EU
In the period March - October 2005, Center for Development of Serbia organized public campaign during which we presented main obstacles for the EU integration process. The main aim of the project was to promote public debate and raise awareness among citizens about major obstacles on our way to European Union. Further, more the idea of the project was to express possibility of participation of different target groups in decision-making process. The intention was to put the focus of public attention for following problems in our society: malfunction of judiciary, malfunction of public government and local self-government, corruption on all levels, the narrow economic interest of people behind the public eye, as well as not developed civil society. During the project implementation, the following has been successfully achieved: TV debates were broadcasted and panel discussions were organized in three target County centers (North Backa County - Subotica, Toplica County - Prokuplje and Sumadija County - Kragujevac).
